Bronze Plating

Bronze can be applied directly to the steel base and offers excellent corrosion protection. In the case of extreme environments where a combination of corrosion and wear protection are required, a layer of Hard Chrome or Nickel is deposited over the Bronze and is the industry standard for hydraulic cylinders. Bronze deposits are applied subject to specified requirements of the article being plated. Deposits usually start at .002” to .008” on hydraulic cylinders and deposits up to .040” rad for reclamation or heavy worn items.
